Description: The Heritage House

The Heritage House is located in northern California, approximately 5 miles south of the centuries-old artist community of Mendocino. Originally the home of a lumber mill -- the first residents brought the architectural heritage of New England to their new sea-kissed home overlooking the Pacific coast. The Heritage House was created in the 19th Century and since then has seen many eras, from the Gold Rush to Prohibition and in 1948, the building was restored by Mr. Dennen (a Hollywood set designer) as what we know it as today ? a quiet country inn and the location of the movie ?Same time next year?. Following a major renovation, to be completed late summer, The Heritage House will begin yet another new era as one of California?s oldest hotels. 37 rooms and suites overlooking lush gardens and the powerful Pacific Ocean. All guest rooms have a sitting area, fireplace, deck, Duxiana king-size beds, coffee machine, complimentary mini-bar and I-Pods with Bose stereo systems. Each bathroom features organic bath amenities by the Napa Valley Soap Company. Some are equipped with a Jacuzzi tub.
