Nick's Cove & Cottages is a small former fishing village that dates back to the 1930s. Gloriously revived by Pat Kuleto, it is one of the last remaining settlements on the oceanfront that catered to tourists after the advent of automobiles and good roads, and served as a terminus for local fisherman and agricultural operations through the area. Twelve unique luxury ocean themed cottages located on or over-the-water with private decks, and in-room eco-conscious fireplace. The Cottages feature hand-crafted distressed wood floors, pot-bellied stoves, fireplaces, antiqued marble mosaic floor tiles, copper bath tub and European marble bath tiles with antique furnishings. No-desk check-in and check-out, concierge service, room service, over-the-water or water-view decks, kitchens, high-thread-count linens, hidden flat panel TV, iPod docking station, satellite XM radio, hypo-allergenic pillows, and in-room spa and massage services.

Directions

HWY/Interstate:

Driving on Highway 101 from the north or south take the Central Petaluma/East Washington Street exit. Head west towards downtown Petaluma. . Washington Street turns into Bodega which turns into Valley Ford Rd. In approximately 10 miles turn left on Tomales Road and continue for 5.4 miles to State Route 1. Go left on State Route 1 and drive 7.3miles to Nick's Cove and Cottages.

Oakland International Airport:

From Oakland International Airport : Heading southwest on Airport Dr. travel .2 miles and take a right on Allan Shepard Way. Continue .3 miles and go right on John Glenn Drive. Continue straight for .9miles to Doolittle Drive and go right. Drive .3miles to Airport Blvd and go right. Drive .8miles and go right on Hegenberger. Merge onto I-880 north bound and continue for 6.3 miles and then take east bound I-980 toward Walnut Creek. Continue 1.4 miles and merge onto west bound I-580 toward San Francisco. DO NOT TAKE THE BAY BRIDGE TO SAN FRANCISCO. Continue on west bound I-580 past Berkeley, through Richmond (and across the San Rafael/Richmond Bridge) for 19.4 miles to Highway 101 north bound and continue 20 miles to Central Petaluma/ East Washington Street exit. At light go left on Washington Street where you will continue through town towards the country. Washington Street turns into Bodega which turns into Valley Ford Rd. Nick's Cove and Cottages is approximately 45 minutes north of Stinson Beach on Highway 1 and 45 minutes south of Bodega Bay on Highway 1.

From San Francisco International Airport: Exit the airport and merge onto Highway 101 north bound. Continue 1.4miles and take west bound I-380. Stay on I-380 for 1.9miles then merge with I-280 northbound. Continue northbound for 5 miles where you will merge with Highway 1 northbound and continue through San Francisco on 19th Avenue to the Golden Gate Bridge. Continue north on Highway 101 for 33.3 miles to Central Petaluma/East Washington Street exit. At light go left on Washington Street where you will continue through town towards the country.
