The hotel has been part of the history of Monterey since 1904. In 1996 the Monterey Hotel was refurbished, restructured, and decorated to fit the style of the Victorian era. Amenities included with each room are continental breakfast, afternoon cookies and daily newspaper delivery. Our convenient location, meeting facilities, and friendly, knoweldgeable staff are just a few of the services we have for our special guests. FROM THE SOUTH: FROM HWY 1 SOUTH, TAKE FISHERMAN'S WHARF EXIT, GO STRAIGHT AHEAD TO THE STOP LIGHT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE EXIT, YOU WILL BE ON FREMONT STREET, GO STRAIGHT THROUGH PASS TRANSIT PLAZA, THE NEXT INTERSECTION WILL BE ALVARADO STREET. FROM THE NORTH: FISHERMAN'S WHARF EXIT/DOWNTOWN MONTEREY, MAKE RIGHT ON MUNRAS AND A RIGHT ON ALVARADO.
